Wolff’s Trump book dominates Amazon charts

Michael Wolff’s explosive new book chronicling the first year of President Trump’s tenure topped the charts on Amazon Friday morning, as buyers raced to get their hands on the tell-all, claims in which have dominated national headlines.

Earlier on Friday, three formats — a hardcover edition, e-book version and an audiobook — of “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” took the first, second and third slots on Amazon’s best sellers list

As of late Friday morning, the hardcover edition remained in the No. 1 slot, while the audiobook sat at No. 13.

Discussions of “Fire and Fury” consumed Washington this week as excerpts were published in the news media ahead of its official release. Those excerpts painted a portrait of a White House in chaos and contained provocative accounts of Trump’s campaign and time in the Oval Office.

The White House has responded furiously to the book’s publication, and has sought to knock down the accounts contained in the book.

In a tweet on Thursday night, Trump insisted that he had authorized “Zero access” for Wolff, and claimed that the book was “full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist.”

He lashed out again on Friday, accusing the media and Wolff’s book of treating him unfairly.
