Obama’s Middle East Moment

President Obama has initiated a series of rapid-fire moves in the Middle East that are profoundly important and potentially historic. Sending über-negotiator and former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell (D-Maine) to the Middle East as peace envoy is a game-changing move, followed by the president giving his first major interview to Middle Eastern television.

This will be a hard and challenging initiative in a troubled and bloodstained region. In a guest column for OpEdNews, I explained the rapid-fire series of moves made by Obama and the enormous potential for game-changing impact in the Middle East.
