Obama Makes it 10 in a Row

Add Wisconsin and Hawaii to the winner’s column — on top of Washington, Nebraska, Louisiana, Maine and the Virgin Islands. Plus Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

That makes 10 big victories in a row for Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.): an amazing winning streak, coast to coast, big states and small, blue states and red. And that makes 10 big losses in a row for Hillary Rodham Clinton: an embarrassing losing streak for a candidate who was once presumed to be the inevitable Democratic Party nominee, but clearly is no longer.

Yes, Sen. Clinton (N.Y.) could conceivably still win the nomination — if everything breaks her way from now on — but it’s looking less and less likely. In fact, Obama and Clinton are starting to look a little like McCain and Huckabee.

Now it’s all up to Ohio and Texas on March 4. Two states that Clinton should win. And two states that Clinton must win. If not, it’s time that she accept the writing on the wall — and help unite the party behind Barack Obama.

In Wisconsin over the weekend, former President Bill Clinton said that, all his life, he’s wanted to be able to vote for an African-American for president. Today, it looks like he just might get his chance!
