Outrageous stimulus waste
It is not that any of these programs are negative in and of themselves; however, such initiatives have no place in an economic stimulus package, let alone a federally funded program. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (I’m sure you were humming patriotic tunes as you read that) promised “to preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery.” I ask you now, what jobs have been created by kicking fast food restaurants out of certain parts of town, as suggested in the CPPW funding allocation summary? How many salaries were generated from making tap water more accessible in New York City schools?
