Booker tweets his snow shoveling efforts
Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) could not resist reverting back to his old ways, as snowstorms bore down on the East Coast on Friday.
Booker took to Twitter to announce he would be out shoveling snow for elderly residents and solicited volunteers to do the same.
Booker gained national prominence as Newark, N.J., mayor with a prolific Twitter account that highlighted his acts while running the city. In 2010, he live-tweeted his shoveling efforts.
Early Friday morning, he was at it again, as local news reported the Newark area received up to 8.5 inches of snow.
Heading out in about an hour to shovel for seniors & others in the Nwk area. If u are interested in joining my volunteer crew – tweet back.

Booker started the day merely cautioning residents about driving in the storm.
It’s a mess outside. Stay inside if you can; if you must drive, take great caution; & if you are able, help someone out, extend a kindness

But he soon hinted about volunteering himself.
Today is a perfect day 4 small acts of generosity! Remember the biggest thing u can do in any day is a small act of kindness. Help someone.
