US touts death of ISIS member who threatened White House
An official State Department account tweeted photos Thursday of two members of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) who were apparently killed in Syria this week.
One of the men pictured, Abu Moussa, is an ISIS spokesman who recently told VICE News that the militant group would “raise the flag of Allah in the White House.”
“Don’t be cowards and attack us with drones. Instead, send your soldiers, the ones we humiliated in Iraq. We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House,” he said.

The tweet apparently relies on photos and information posted by the pro-ISIS account @MujaahidaHafy, which said both men died in an attack at the Tabqa airbase in Eastern Syria on Wednesday.

The State Department account, which is under the department’s Center for Strategic Counterterrorism, is known for its quips against online terrorists.
The account recently pointed out that some ISIS recruits ordered the book “Islam for Dummies” and said that getting “beat by a girl” was the group’s “worst nightmare,” linking to an article about Kurdish female fighters on the front lines in Iraq.
