Paul finds drone he likes

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has found a drone that he likes. And it delivers beer. 

Paul, whose national prominence rose earlier this year with a 13-hour, one-man filibuster protesting U.S. drone policy, joked in a message on Twitter that he’s not opposed to all drones.

{mosads}The Tea Party favorite, who is mulling a presidential bid in 2016, linked to an Agence France-Presse article that describes a flying drone that delivers beer to patrons in South Africa at a music festival. The unmanned plane uses GPS technology to track a patron’s location before dropping the alcohol by parachute.

His filibuster in March of CIA Director John Brennan raised his profile and attracted other Republicans to the Senate floor to support him. 

“I will speak as long as it takes, until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast that our Constitution is important, that your rights to trial by jury are precious, that no American should be killed by a drone on American soil without first being charged with a crime, without first being found to be guilty by a court,” Paul said in his speech at the time.
