Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) took to his newly-founded Twitter page to go after state Democrats who stalled a budget agreement last night.
The Democratic-controlled legislature passed several budgets vetoed by Pawlenty because they contained tax cuts, leading to a protracted fight to pass a constitutionally-mandated balanced budget.
Observers have said the budget battle is key to Pawlenty’s political future — both in the state and nationally.
With that in mind, Pawlenty tweeted Tuesday:
DFL #mnleg failed to enact balanced budget or any reforms. Now flying around state to brag about it. What color is the sky in their world?
