President Trump’s supporters heckled CNN’s chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta as he prepared to do a live shot from the president’s rally in Tampa Bay, Fla., on Tuesday.
Multiple reporters posted video of the interaction, which featured many attendees shouting “boo” in the direction of Acosta.
Another video features individuals, many wearing pro-Trump clothing or wearing buttons, shouting “CNN sucks” and “you’re a liar” at Acosta.
{mosads}The videos surface as the president prepares to speak at a rally for Republican gubernatorial candidate Rep. Ron DeSantis, who is running in this year’s Republican primary against state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam. The primary will take place on Aug. 28.
This isn’t the first time Trump supporters have heckled Acosta. In June, the crowd awaiting Trump‘s rally in South Carolina began chanting, “Go home, Jim!”
Multiple reporters also tweeted that a woman verbally attacked Acosta as he stood in the press area during the South Carolina event. Crowd members also reportedly chanted “CNN sucks.”
The latest barrage on Acosta comes as the relationship between the Trump administration and the network remains tense. Trump refused to take a question from Acosta in a press conference earlier this month.
On Monday, Acosta was shouted down by a White House aide as he directed questions at Trump about allegations of collusion between his campaign and Russia.
“Make your way out. Let’s go. Move, Jim, let’s go. Keep going, Jim, let’s go. Jim, we’re leaving. Come on, Jim. Go. We’re done,” the aide can be heard yelling.
That interaction came just a week after another reporter for the network, Kaitlan Collins, was barred from attending a presidential event because she asked questions deemed “inappropriate” by the White House.
