ENERGY. North East Offshore, an energy development and technology company, recently hired Ballard Partners to work on offshore wind development issues, according to disclosures. Brian Ballard, former chairman of Trump Victory, and Daniel McFaul, former chief of staff to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), will work on the account.

 

Sentinel Midstream, a midstream oil operations company, hired Miller Strategies to work on issues as they relate to the development and production of energy resources. George Caram, former special assistant at the National Security Council, among others, will work on the account.

 

APPROPRIATIONS. MillerCoors hired Team Hallahan to work on appropriations related to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Department of Treasury’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. Kate Hallahan, former Democratic clerk on the House Appropriations subcommittee on transportation, will work on the account.

 

TRANSPORTATION. A nonprofit organization promoting trail development, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, hired Summit Strategies Government Affairs to work on the FAST Act Reauthorization, the surface transportation bill that expires in 2020. Jim Kolb, former staff director for the House Transportation Highways and Transit Subcommittee, will work on the account.

 

PRIVACY. The Project for Privacy and Surveillance Accountability, a nonpartisan group of citizens who advocate for privacy and civil liberties, hired The McKeon Group to work on privacy and surveillance accountability issues. Former Rep. Buck McKeon (R-Calif.), onetime chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, and Howard McKeon, former vice president of Sprint Nextel, among others, will work on the account.
