California Children’s Hospital Association hired Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies to work on COVID-19 relief funding, among other issues. Alexandra Campau, former health policy adviser and counsel for Republicans on the House Budget Committee, and Patrick Martin, former legislative correspondent for ex-Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.), will work on the account.

Genesis Healthcare Inc., a Pennsylvania-based care services company, also hired Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies to work on COVID-19 pandemic response issues. Campau and James Schultz, former special assistant and senior associate counsel to President Trump, will work on the account.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) also hired Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies to work on financial and legislative initiatives surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Schultz and Martin will work on the account.

CIM Commercial Trust Corp. hired Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP to work on issues related to the Paycheck Protection Program. Travis Norton, former counsel to Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), and Brian McKeon, former senior counsel to ex-Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), will work on the account.

Pennsylvania-based Excela Health hired Cassidy & Associates to work on funding related to COVID-19. Jordan Bernstein, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R-Mo.), and Donna Jo Denison, former senior legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), will work on the account.

Memsel Manufacturing Co., which designs and produces smart filters, hired Van Scoyoc Associates to work on personal protective equipment procurement and related issues. Tom Quinn, former legislative director to Rep. Peter Visclosky (D-Ind.), will work on the account.

Plastics producer Audia International Inc. hired K&L Gates to work on issues related to the Paycheck Protection Program and Employee Retention Credit. Mary Baker, former manager of the Office of Tax Shelter Analysis at the IRS, where she worked for more than 15 years, will work on the account.
