APPROPRIATIONS

The City of Chattanooga, Tenn., hired Hamm Consulting Group to work on fiscal 2022 appropriations, COVID-19 relief and issues like affordable housing, economic and community development, criminal justice, infrastructure and sustainability. Ronald Hamm, former legislative associate for the City of San Diego, will work on the account.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The Tampa-Hillsborough Expressway Authority in Florida hired Ballard Partners to work on regional transportation infrastructure funding and permitting. Brian Ballard, former chairman of Trump Victory, will work on the account with Daniel McFaul, former chief of staff to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), and Rebecca Benn, former legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.).

Hennepin County, Minnesota, hired Becker & Poliakoff P.A. to work on issues relating to transportation infrastructure, health and human services, safety net health services, climate change, criminal justice, housing and community development, taxes and immigration issues. Omar Franco, former chief of staff to Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.), will work on the account.

The Associated Equipment Dealers hired GrayRobinson P.A. to work on matters pertaining to transportation and infrastructure and tax policy. Doyle Bartlett, former chief of staff to ex-Rep. Bill McCollum (R-Fla.), and Chris McCannell, former press secretary to Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), will work on the account.

HEALTH CARE

Medical device company Contura Inc. hired Ballard Partners to work on reimbursement issues at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Ballard, the firm’s founder, will work on the account.

ENERGY

REC Silicon Inc., a renewable and clean energy manufacturer, hired Liebman & Associates Inc., to work on clean and sustainable energy technology research, development and demonstration. Murray Liebman, the firm’s founder, will work on the account.
