The lobbying firm Cavarocchi Ruscio Dennis Associates, also known as CRD Associates, has launched a communications practice, and the firm has brought on Matt Dennis to lead it. Prior to that, Dennis served as the communications director for the Democrats on the House Appropriations Committee. 

The Beer Institute has hired Ramsey Cox as its director of media relations and public affairs. She most recently served as the communications director for Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.), and earlier worked for The Hill.

{mosads}The chief trade lobbyist at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has departed for Kia Motors Corp. Christopher Wenk, who served as the executive director of international policy at the Chamber, will now serve as the automaker’s vice president of government relations. 

The National Recycling Coalition has brought on Dave Keeling to serve as its president. He comes from the Steel Recycling Institute  — an arm of the American Iron and Steel Institute — where he worked as the director of recycling. 

Greg Brower has joined the law and lobbying firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as a shareholder in its litigation department. He most recently served as the assistant director for congressional affairs at the FBI.

Strategic communications firm Rational 360 promoted Brian Bartlett to partner. His résumé includes working in the George W. Bush White House and Labor Department, working on Capitol Hill and serving on Mitt Romney’s two campaigns for president.

A former chief of staff to Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.), Ryan Bernstein, has joined McGuireWoods Consulting’s federal government relations practice. He spent six years as Hoeven’s top aide on Capitol Hill and also worked as the senator’s deputy chief of staff.

The U.S. subsidiary of the Swiss manufacturing company LafargeHolcim promoted two: Michael LeMonds and Chad Cornwell. LeMonds has become the president of land, environment and government affairs for the United States. Cornwell will now have oversight of the performance, geology and mining teams for the Aggregates Construction Material team in the U.S.
