Alex Vogel, former chief counsel to ex-Sen. Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.); Brian Johnson, a former director of federal affairs at the American Petroleum Institute; and Samir Kapadia, former executive assistant at the Heritage Foundation, will work on the account.

Women’s clothing merchandiser Soft Surroundings also hired the Vogel Group to work on import issues as they relate to tariffs. Vogel, Johnson and Kapadia will also work on the account.

TAX. Internet benefits platform Catch Financial hired Michael Gleeson & Associates to work on IRA and 401(k) treatment issues. Michael Gleeson, former tax counsel to ex-Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.), will work on the account.
