Squire Patton Boggs announced Claiborne Porter has joined the firm’s government investigations and white-collar practice as a partner. He most recently was head of investigations in the global investigations and compliance practice at Navigant Consulting and previously was the acting principal deputy chief of the Justice Department’s Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section. 

Tracy Taylor was named counsel at the firm Alignment Government Strategies. She previously spent more than 22 years at the law firm Williams & Jensen and prior to that served in the George H.W. Bush administration as director of a federal advisory committee and head of a grant program at the Agency for International Development. 

Tim Doyle is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s new vice president of communications. Doyle was previously at Subject Matter, Discovery Communications, the Glover Park Group and the Consumer Technology Association.

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips announced that Jan Owen is senior adviser, based in the firm’s Sacramento and San Francisco offices. Owen was commissioner of the California Department of Business Oversight.

Law firm Jones Walker entered into a strategic alliance agreement with D.C.-based government relations firm TCH Group. They will continue as separate entities while also pursuing opportunities to provide enhanced capabilities to new and existing clients in federal government relations.

Credit Union National Association named Becca Durr director of advocacy. She was the regional director of political affairs at the American Medical Association and previously served as the director of corporate relations for the Democratic Governors Association.

Everytown for Gun Safety named Charlie Kelly senior political adviser and Angela Ferrell-Zabala chief equity, outreach and partnerships officer. Kelly was the executive director of the House Majority PAC and Ferrell-Zabala was the national director of strategic partnerships at Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

Jason L. Buckner is joining Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as a shareholder. He previously was an Obama appointee at the Interior Department, where he was principal deputy director and director of congressional and legislative affairs.
