HEALTH. Specialty drug company Circassia Pharmaceuticals recently hired Winning Strategies Washington to work on drug pricing legislation, according to disclosures. Mike Merola, former deputy chief of staff to ex-Sen. Robert Torricelli (D-N.J.); Nancy Fox, former staff director on the House Appropriations Committee; Molly McDonnell, former senior health policy adviser to ex-Rep. Leonard Lance (R-N.J.); and Charla Penn, former legislative assistant to Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.), are among those working on the account.

SkinCure Oncology, a provider of image-guided superficial radiation therapy for skin-related cancer, hired Armory Hill Advocates to work on regulatory issues around the delivery of those treatments to Medicare patients. Jon Rawlson, former special assistant and policy commissioner at the Department of Health and Human Services, will work on the account.{mosads}

Miami-based nonprofit the Sabrina Cohen Foundation hired New Century Government Affairs to monitor legislative actions relating to health and federal funding issues. Terrence Wolfe, former associate vice chancellor of government relations at Southeastern College, will work on the account.

 

MEDIA. Media company Daily Mail and General Trust, based in London, hired Carmen Group Incorporated to work on antitrust issues involving the Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission. CEO and founder David Carmen and executive managing director Dal Harper will work on the account.

 

REAL ESTATE. Carmen Group Incorporated also was signed by real estate development company Baltimore Urban Revitalization to work on federal infrastructure funding. Carmen, Harper and Gary Hoitsma, a former staff member to Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), will work on the account.
