Bottom line
TRADE. Citigroup Washington recently hired Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas to work on President Trump’s new North American trade agreement, financial reform rules, housing finance reform, cybersecurity legislation, privacy legislation and anti–money laundering legislation, according to disclosures. David Castagnetti, former chief of staff to ex-Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), and David Thomas, former chief of staff to Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), among others, will work on the account.
Lobbying firm Ridge Policy Group hired Pennsylvania-based firm Harvey Run Strategies on behalf of Almo, which distributes appliances and consumer electronics, to lobby on issues relating to tariffs on Chinese goods. Former Rep. Pat Meehan (R-Pa.), who left Congress in April 2018, will work on the account.
General Cable, an energy and telecommunications company based in Kentucky, hired Frost Brown Todd LLC to work on tariffs. Jonathan Miller, former secretary of finance and administration for Kentucky, among others, will work on the account.

FUNDING. The South Carolina Ports Authority hired Neale Creek to work on lobbying related to the port authority’s appropriations and budget requests. Andrew King, former deputy chief of staff to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), will work on the account.
INFRASTRUCTURE. The City of San Clemente , Calif., hired Warwick Group Consultants to work on Corps of Engineers and construction funding issues. Howard Marlowe, former counsel to a Senate Finance subcommittee, among others, will work on the account.
ARTS. The Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles hired Schagrin Associates to work on the appropriatsion bills covering the departments of Agriculture, Interior, Labor, Education and Health and Human Services, as well as legislation to reauthorize the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities, among other policy issues. Kathleen Hatfield, former legislative counsel to former Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Robert Byrd (D-W.Va.), will work on the account.
The Good Samaritan Hospital, a nonprofit community hospital based in Los Angeles, also hired Schagrin Associates to work on the homeland security, defense, interior, transportation, agriculture and housing and urban development appropriations bills, as well as other policy areas. Hatfield will also work on the account.
