Dan Farmer, senior director of government relations at Cleveland Clinic, will join BGR Government Affairs as a vice president in January. Farmer will be in BGR’s access and reimbursement working group. He has worked at the Cleveland Clinic for more than two years and before that worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for more than six years.

Brendan Parets has rejoined Covington & Burling as special counsel. He was an associate at the firm and left in August 2016 to be policy counsel for the Senate Republican Policy Committee. He then was chief counsel for ex-Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), who is also back at Covington & Burling, and then chief counsel to Sen. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) for a year.

Brian Greer was named a principal at the Klein/Johnson Group. He previously was a professional staff member for the House Armed Services Committee for more than three years and before that was military legislative assistant to Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.). He also worked at the Defense Department as a special assistant for just under two years.

David Hudson is now senior director of digital content and social media at the Motion Picture Association. He previously was digital director at Accountable.US for just under a year and before that was a principal at Precision Strategies. He also served as the associate director of content at the White House in 2014 and 2015.

Eboni Speight was named chief finance and administration officer at the National Skills Coalition (NSC). She previously worked for nonprofit advocacy organizations Public Knowledge, the Public Interest Network and USAction. The NSC also announced Girard Melancon, vice chancellor for workforce solutions at Baton Rouge Community College, as the newest member of its board of directors.

Adam Minehardt, chief of staff to Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-N.Y.), is leaving his post to be a lobbyist for Citigroup.

Brian Barnard will be senior manager of federal affairs for Uber, based in Washington, D.C. He previously was a senior adviser to Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and before that was director of government affairs at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
