• The National Retail Federation hired Leon Buck as vice president of government relations, banking and financial services. He was previously senior policy director, counsel and special projects coordinator for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas).
• Katelynn Bradley is now a shareholder at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. She previously worked on the Democratic staff for the House Financial Services Committee.
• Foley & Lardner added Eric Sophir as a partner and Matthew Horton and Kamyar Maserrat as senior counsel and associate, respectively, to its intellectual property department and electronics practice group, based in Washington, D.C. The team previously worked at Dentons.
• ML Strategies, a wholly owned consulting subsidiary of law firm Mintz, named Anthony DeMaio director of government relations. He previously was public policy adviser at McDermott Will & Emery for more than a year.
• Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP named Suzanne Tetreault a partner. She previously spent almost 30 years at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and most recently was deputy chief of the agency‘s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. She also served as deputy general counsel and deputy chief of the Enforcement Bureau at the FCC.
• Drew Lovejoy is now senior communications manager at the Community Oncology Alliance. He previously was communications associate at the National Council for Behavioral Health.
• Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions named Lori Pickford, former principal at The Ferguson Group, a senior policy adviser. Before that she was executive vice president of lobbying firm Morgan Meguire.
• Amazon named PJ Hoffman, director of regulatory affairs at the Electronic Transactions Association, a public policy manager with a focus on privacy. He was previously at the firm Pepper Hamilton, was regulatory affairs counsel at the National Association of Credit Unions and worked on campaigns for ex-Sens. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and Tom Daschle (D-S.D.).
