Comer says he won’t go on ‘Fox & Friends’ because of Doocy

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) blasted Steve Doocy, a longtime host of “Fox and Friends,” over his commentary on House Republicans’ investigation of the Biden family and efforts to mount an impeachment inquiry against President Biden.

“He’s had that position from the very beginning. I’ve quit going on ‘Fox and Friends’ because of Doocy, you know? I mean, he’s the one guy on Fox that’s been very critical of the investigation,” Comer said Tuesday during an appearance on Newsmax. “I have my theory why, and we’ll talk about that at a later point. But at the end of the day, he’s entitled to his opinion, but I don’t think the average viewer of Fox News agrees with Doocy one bit.”

Comer’s comments were first highlighted by Mediate.

During a segment on “Fox and Friends” earlier this week, Doocy noted House Republicans have “got a lot of ledgers and spreadsheets, but they have not connected the dots” on claims of wrongdoing by the president.

Newsmax host Eric Bolling, a former Fox host who is regularly critical of the network, played a clip of Doocy’s comments for Comer during his show and asked him twice to criticize the morning show pundit.

Comer is leading the House investigation into the foreign business dealings of Hunter Biden, the president’s son, and has alleged the president has benefited from them.

The Kentucky Republican also recently attacked CNN viewers after an appearance on anchor Jake Tapper’s program, calling people who watch that network “low IQ.”
