Former President Trump is set to meet with top business leaders for a discussion hosted by Business Roundtable later this month in Washington, D.C.

Trump is participating in the moderated discussion at the organization’s quarterly meeting June 13, his campaign confirmed Wednesday.

The appearance was first reported by NBC News.

Business Roundtable, the lobbying group for business leaders, is made up of more than 200 CEOs from leading U.S. companies. The group’s President Joshua Bolten is the former chief of staff to President George W. Bush, and its board includes Chair Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco, as well as JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and General Motors CEO Mary Barra.

Business Roundtable said it invited both Trump and President Biden, and while Trump accepted, the president will be in Italy for the Group of Seven summit. White House chief of staff Jeff Zients is slated to attend in his place.

Trump’s decision to attend came after Zients was confirmed to attend, according to a person familiar with the planning.

It is “usual practice” for Business Roundtable to invite both major political parties’ presumptive nominees to address the June meeting, and Biden was invited as a candidate in 2020, the group’s spokesperson Michael Steel said.

“We look forward to a discussion of policy issues with former President Trump next week and hope that President Biden will be able to join us again in the future,” Steel said.

The Trump campaign said the presumptive Republican nominee will discuss “how he will restore prosperity to the American economy” and touted that he “stands prepared” to build “the stronger economy in the world” again.
