People for the American Way Foundation has new member: The People for the American Way Foundation hired Leslie Watson Malachi as its new director of African-American religious affairs at its D.C. national headquarters.
Malachi will oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the African-American Ministers Leadership Council and the African-American Ministers in Action programs, as well as organize grassroots activities.
U.N. Foundation gets new executive director of communications and public affairs: The United Nations Foundation announced that Aaron Sherinian is now executive director of communications and public affairs. He will lead the foundation’s public-relations efforts and build the company’s online presence.
House Foreign Affairs Committee hires new staffer: Jackie Quinones recently began her position as a professional staff member with the House Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Howard Berman (D-Calif.). Her responsibilities include international narcotics and international economics and finance.
Before joining the committee, Quinones got her M.A. in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in May of last year.
