Cameron Bishop has started in Rogers’s office as a staff assistant. He originally began in government working with a trade association in Georgia and also has interned for the House and Senate.

{mosads}Forest McConnell is originally from Montgomery, Ala. He was promoted to legislative assistant after interning at the office since 2006 and becoming a full-time staffer in August 2009. He will handle Homeland Security issues.

Hunter Walton is a new military legislative assistant and will handle healthcare issues. Walton earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.

Howard Consulting Group promotes two key members:

John Marchant is the new managing director of public affairs for Howard Consulting Group.

Marchant has been with the firm since 2007, overseeing the public affairs team and grassroots advocacy programs.

Erica Hiar has also been promoted to associate for the group.

House Armed Services Committee (HASC) Chairman Ike Skelton (D-Mo.) welcomes changes in office:

The Senate confirmed former staff director Erin Conaton as undersecretary of the Air Force and former General Counsel Paul Oostburg Sanz as general counsel to the U.S. Navy— the two will leave the HASC for their new positions.

New staff leadership include: Paul Arcangeli as the new staff director of the committee. Succeeding Arcangeli as deputy staff director is Debra Wada.

Wada’s most recent role was lead staffer for the Military Personnel subcommittee.

Cablevision Systems names 14 year veteran as executive vice president:  

Lisa Rosenblum has been named executive vice president of government and public affairs for Cablevision Systems Corp. She will continue to serve as Cablevision’s chief government affairs executive and strategist overseeing legislative, regulatory and public affairs matters companywide.

Energy and Environment subcommittee professional staffer Dan Byers and wife Grace welcomed baby boy Rhett Byers on Feb. 18. Byers is making his son a Steeler fan early.
