{mosads}Turlington, a mother of two with her husband, actor Ed Burns, will be in Washington to lobby for maternal health funding, and she’ll take part in a panel discussion Wednesday afternoon on best practices in Peru. Also on the panel will be Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas), who recently returned from a fact-finding trip to the Andean nation.
Washingtonians will recognize another of the panel’s participants, Anita McBride, the former chief of staff to first lady Laura Bush and a longtime Washington player.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. in CVC 215.
