Romney dishes on Snooki and his sleeping habits

The newspaper reports that Romney said of pint-sized “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who had dropped some pounds before learning she was pregnant and giving birth to a baby boy, “Look how tiny she’s gotten.” He added of the outspoken reality star, “Just her spark-plug personality is kind of fun.”

Romney’s not the first Republican to praise the self-proclaimed “guidette.” Back in 2010, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) bonded with Polizzi on Twitter over legislation that would have raised taxes on tanning beds, writing to her, “@SnOOki u r right. I would never tax your tanning bed!”

When it comes to smartphone picks, both Ann and Mitt Romney agreed they prefer the iPhone rather than the BlackBerry.

But the former Massachusetts governor might have delved into T.M.I. territory with some of his responses.

When reportedly asked by Strahan what he wears when he hits the sack, Romney replied, “I hear the best answer is as little as possible.”

Ann Romney also offered up some eyebrow-raising answers. When asked to reveal an embarrassing story, Romney recalled when she and Gov. Rick Perry’s (R-Texas) wife, Anita, accidentally eyed former President George W. Bush getting a rubdown from a masseuse while they were looking around the White House.

“He was covered up, but I was so embarrassed that the next time I did see him I didn’t know what I was going to say to him,” she said. Romney said while later taking an elevator ride with the president he winked at her and quipped, “I look pretty good, don’t I?” 

The Romneys’ interview airs Tuesday.
