ROBIN BRONK: If you had five minutes in the Oval Office with President Obama, what would you discuss with him? What issue would you like him to know about?

JEFF FOXWORTHY: I believe America was designed to be a land of opportunity, not guarantees. The idea that the government is supposed to take care of everyone’s every need really scares me. I saw a car the other day and someone had written on the back window in shoe polish, “A government powerful enough to give you everything is also powerful enough to take everything you have.” I am worried about the unchecked debt this country is accumulating and what impact that will have on future generations.

RB: If you could give President Obama one piece of advice, what would that be?

JF: Never go swimming for at least 30 minutes after you eat.

RB: If you could ask President Obama one question, what would that be?

JF: Why hasn’t the economy responded as they said it would, and where is the job growth?

RB: Would you ever consider a political career?

JF: Are you kidding me? No way — I enjoy being liked too much.
