ABC’s “Body of Proof” is home to Windell Middlebrooks, who plays Dr. Curtis Brumfield on the series. Windell received his master’s in acting from the University of California/Irvine. He has held recurring roles on television series including “Scrubs” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Windell is likely most recognizable to TV viewers as the Miller High Life delivery man, a character on the five-year-running commercial string.
ROBIN BRONK: If you had five minutes in the Oval Office with President Obama, what would you discuss with him? What issue would you like him to know about?
WINDELL MIDDLEBROOKS: The importance of making sure our vets are taken care of when they return. With jobs, insurance, security for their families, health services, whether it be mental health or physical. Take the work of the IAVA to the next level.
WM: In the words of Oprah, “Turn your wounds into wisdom.”
RB: If you could ask President Obama one question, what would that be?
WM: How do you feel you’ve done?
RB: What book would you offer to lend President Obama? Why?
WM: I would say the Bible. But I hope he already has that. Why? Because he needs it. So I would lend him Let Go of Whatever Makes You Stop by John L. Mason. Why? Because it brings you back to the basics.
RB: If you were going to send the president to one place in the United States for one day, where would that be? Why?
WM: To my mama’s house in Fort Worth, Texas. He could get a good meal and some good laughs!
RB: Would you ever consider a political career?
WM: If by political career you mean acting on TV, yes! [Laughs.]
