National Burrito Day: Where to get deals and discounts on April 4

Story at a glance

(NEXSTAR) – It’s been whole days since the last major made-up food holiday, leaving Americans everywhere in dire need of an excuse to treat themselves to free or discounted food.

Thankfully for those Americans, the clearly non-federal “holiday” of National Burrito Day is arbitrarily observed on the first Thursday of April, and several national restaurant chains are more than happy to celebrate with deals on (what we’re told is) the day’s preferred food.

Take a look below to learn more about the offers available at eateries near you, but be sure to save some room in your stomach: National Raisin and Spice Bar Day is mere hours away!

Baja Fresh

On April 4, Baja Fresh is offering a buy-one-get-one deal on burritos for Club Baja Rewards members who order from participating restaurants via the Baja Fresh app or website. Customers must use the code “BURRITO2024” to redeem the deal.

Chipotle

Chipotle is offering free delivery for orders of $12 or more (before taxes and other fees) on April 4. Customers must belong to the chain’s Rewards program and order from participating restaurants via Chipotle’s official website or the Chipotle app using the code “DELIVER.”

El Pollo Loco

On April 4, El Pollo Loco is offering buy-one-get-one burritos on April 4 for customers who belong to the chain’s Loco Rewards program.

Moe’s Southwest Grill

Customers at participating Moe’s locations can get a free burrito or bowl with the purchase of another burrito or bowl. The discount will be automatically applied in the app, or provided at the register for customers who order in-store — no offer codes necessary.

Qdoba

Qdoba Rewards members who buy an entrée and a drink at Qdoba can redeem an in-app coupon for a free burrito with their online or in-restaurant purchase.

Sheetz

Customers who use the Sheetz app can click the OFFERZ tab to add a coupon for $2 off any made-to-order burrito at the store’s 720-plus locations through April 6, according to Sheetz.

Taco Bell

On National Burrito Day, Taco Bell customers who purchase a burrito via the chain’s app can redeem a digital offer for 50% off a second burrito of equal or lesser value. The restaurant is also offering Burrito Day deals through third-party delivery apps: a free Beefy 5-Layer Burrito with the purchase of another Beefy 5-Layer Burrito via Uber Eats; a free burrito with orders totaling over $22 on Grubhub; and $5 off any order totaling over $20 — with the purchase of a burrito — on DoorDash.
