Reigning “Jeopardy!” champion Amy Schneider revealed on social media Monday she was robbed over New Year’s weekend.
Schneider, who has won 24 consecutive contests as of Tuesday, wrote on Twitter that she lost her ID, credit cards and phone in the theft, and she spent the day attempting to replace the stolen goods.
Hi all! So, first off: I’m fine. But I got robbed yesterday, lost my ID, credit cards, and phone. I then couldn’t really sleep last night, and have been dragging myself around all day trying to replace everything.

“So, I doubt I’ll even start writing tonight’s game thread today, and if I keep winning, it may take a bit for me to get caught up,” she continued. “Thanks for your patience!”
Schneider has risen to the fourth spot on the game show’s all-time regular-season earning list, netting more than $967,000 so far.
Earlier this season, she made history when she became the first transgender contestant to compete in the show’s Tournament of Champions.
