According to the U.S. Census Bureau, based on 2019 data the national median earnings for those working full-time, year-round in the U.S. was $53,544 for men versus $43,394 for women — an average pay disparity of $10,150.
The state with the largest wage gap is Wyoming where men make an average salary of $59,196 compared to women, who make $37,520 for a wage gap of $21,676. Vermont has the smallest wage gap, with men earning an average salary of $51,241 and women making $46,641, making a wage gap of $4,600.
