A 71-year-old man, also in Slidell, was in his flooded shed when his wife heard a disturbance and found him under attack by an alligator.

His wife was able to help him get away from the alligator, but she was unable to call for help because the storm had knocked out their power. She took their boat to look for help, but when she returned her husband was gone. Authorities searched for the man but have been unable to locate him.
