‘Frozen tsunami’ batters Wisconsin homes

Spring thaw on some lakes of the Upper Midwest, like Wisconsin’s Lake Winnebago, comes with a potential hazard onshore: ice shoves. 

As Weather.com notes, they’re sometimes compared to a frozen tsunami. When piles of ice chunks blow inland they can batter structures in their path.
