Part Two: Rebuilding the Federal Workforce

Of all the pressing tasks facing the Biden-Harris administration, a key priority will be to attract and retain top talent to rebuild trust in government.

What immediate steps need to be taken to shore up the morale of federal workers whose expertise and experience have gone unrecognized? How can we identify and support the agencies that have lost the most talent in recent years? More importantly, what can be done to lure back experts who left the government for the private sector and attract the next generation of civil servants?

In Part Two of the “Rebuilding the Federal Workforce” series, The Hill will convene key government leaders, former agency administrators, and private sector experts to explore what tangible steps and practical solutions can and should be put into action to rebuild the civilian federal workforce.
