Climate Under Threat

In an ever-connected world, climate change is a collective threat requiring global solutions.

Among the most climate-vulnerable parts of the world, The Middle East faces desertification, water shortages and rising temperatures. Countries in the region that have traditionally relied on an economy supported by oil are exploring post-carbon technologies and diversification of industries.

What is the future of renewables in the Middle East, and how do these economies reduce greenhouse gas emissions? How is the region addressing overall impact on the environment? What are the implications of climate change on security and instability in the region, and why should Americans care?
