The Future of the Workplace

The COVID-19 pandemic will have lasting impacts on how we live, work, and communicate. Physical proximity is returning slowly, but new sensitivities about personal space will require new patterns of workplace interaction. These changes will have a cascading effect on how and if we will return to the office.

Even once we reach the other side of the pandemic, workplaces will be forever transformed with flexible work schedules and cutting edge technology. How can we create productive workplaces both at home and at the office? What has the pandemic taught us about how offices going forward should look and feel? And how can new innovations increase inclusivity and equity in the workplace?

The Hill will convene employers, economists, innovators, policy leaders and business stakeholders to discuss what lies ahead for America’s workforce, its workplaces, and the economy.
