Meet the New Members

The 2024 election made history up and down the ballot. Donald Trump is only the second president to be elected to non-consecutive terms, and JD Vance will be the youngest vice president, and first millennial to serve in the position. Other notable firsts include a Korean-American in the Senate and an openly transgender representative in the House.  

Republicans will control The White House and both chambers of Congress next year, a trifecta of power for President-Elect Trump.

The November election was a referendum on current policies, and the 119th Congress has been tasked with tackling important issues led by the U.S. economy. Who are the incoming freshmen and are they up for the task? What advice would veteran lawmakers offer their new colleagues? What issues will be front and center for the new Congress? And what will 2025 look like in terms of policy and decision-making?
