Ungar-Sargon says system designed to fail ‘People’s Convoy’ protestors

Newsweek’s Deputy Opinion Editor Batya Ungar-Sargon spoke to Hill.TV’s “Rising” on Tuesday about the likely outcome of the “People’s Convoy” trucker protest against COVID-19 mandates.

“Of course there’s going to be no impact,” Ungar-Sargon said when asked if she thinks the D.C.-area protest, mirrored after Canada’s “Freedom Convoy,” will be effective.

Its failure will stem from the system being set up to “silence populist rage,” she added.
