Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said on Tuesday that Republicans will have a much better night than expected in the midterms.
“The only seat that the Democrats have won as we talk right now is the Comstock seat in Virginia-10,” Lewandowski told Hill.TV’s John Solomon.
“So if the Democrats are going to have a large blue wave that is going to sweep over the country, they need to win Kentucky 6th, the three seats in Virginia and start to pick off those numbers, and they haven’t done that yet,” he continued.
“You put that coupled with what seems to be a very, very good night in Tennessee with Marsha Blackburn, a win in Indiana, the Republicans are going to have a much better night than predicted,” he said.
Lewandowski went on to say that Gov. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) will win his Senate race against incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and that former Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) will beat Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D) in the state’s gubernatorial race.
The former Trump campaign manager’s comments come as polls across the country close on Election Night.
Democrats got their first win of the evening with Jennifer Wexton’s victory of Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-Va.) in Virginia’s 10th congressional district.
Democrats are favored to win control of the House, while Republicans are expected to keep their hold on the Senate.
