As Republicans at the federal level have had difficulties creating a replacement for the Affordable Care Act via legislation, GOP politicians at the state level have focused their attentions on making changes to the law. Kentucky is one of four states with Republican governors which have imposed work requirements on Medicaid beneficiaries but last week, Gov. Matt Bevin’s new policy was struck down by a federal judge. On Tuesday, Kentucky state Rep. Rocky Adkins joined “Rising” to discuss the ruling and its local and national implications.
