Conservative radio host: White House ‘getting what they deserve’ with Omarosa

Conservative talk show host Lawrence Jones said Friday that the Trump administration is getting what it deserves after hiring — and later firing — Omarosa Manigault Newman.

Jones said he had warned the White House about the reality TV star, whose new tell-all memoir has created a week’s worth of headlines so far, but the administration didn’t listen.

“I said that she’s unhinged — she’s not going to going to get more black voters to support him, but the fact that they put her out there, they’re getting what they deserve,” Jones, who is the editor-in-chief of the conservative college news site Campus Reform, told Hill.TV’s Buck Sexton and Krystal Ball on “Rising.”

Jones said Manigault Newman “never lied about who she is,” adding it’s “they’re fault, they’ve got to deal with the consequences of it.”

Manigault Newman has emerged as a sharp critic of President Trump since being fired from the White House, where she served as the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

The former Trump aide has released secret recordings from the White House and accused the president of repeatedly using a racist slur during tapings of his show “The Apprentice,” claiming that it was documented on tape. Trump later hit back, calling her a “dog,” “wacky and deranged” and a “lowlife.”

But it doesn’t look like the ongoing fallout is going away anytime soon.

The former White House aid is currently on tour for her scathing tell-all, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,” and has threatened to release more secret recordings of conversations with Trump officials.

The New York Times reported that Manigault-Newman could have as many as 200 tapes that may contain sensitive information.
