The Intercept’s Grim: Warren as Biden VP could be ‘Dick Cheney situation’

The Intercept’s Ryan Grim said Tuesday that if Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) serves as presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s vice president, it could become a “Dick Cheney situation.”

The D.C. bureau chief told Hill.TV that the Biden campaign sees the vice presidential candidate becoming an “acting president,” like President George W. Bush’s vice president Dick Cheney, and as potentially the next Democratic nominee. 

“You understand that this certainly could be a Dick Cheney situation, where the president is so weak that an effective vice president actually then runs the show,” he said.
