Trump campaign: Public appearances to make ‘stark contrast’ with Democrats

Marc Lotter, communications director for President Trump’s reelection campaign, said that the president will make public appearances to draw a “stark contrast” with former Vice President Joe Biden and other Democrats.

“We will continue to see the president go out in his official capacity talk about getting this country to move again,” Lotter said on Hill TV’s “Rising” Wednesday. “Which is another stark contrast to what we see going on with Democrats, especially Joe Biden, primarily hiding in his basement.”

“You’ll see the president and the Vice President out there championing the reopening of this country,” Lotter said.

Biden made his first appearance in public outside of interviews from his home studio on Monday.

Democrats have worried that the pandemic could hurt their presumptive nominee if it kept him on lockdown. But national and swing-state polls show Biden ahead of Trump.
