HuffPost reporter Daniel Marans on Thursday recapped some of the primary races that took place this week in which progressive candidates scored several key victories.
“If we were talking about, let’s say, 15 or 16 or 17 or 18 votes that it would require for a cohesive left bloc to threaten to block legislation that it did not like in the House, this brings them a little bit closer to that goal,” Marans told Hill.TV.
Congressional candidate Cori Bush defeated longtime Rep. William Lacy Clay (D) in Missouri, while Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D) defeated a primary challenge in Michigan.
