Economics professor says Biden coronavirus relief plan is ‘much too hesitant’

Economics professor Richard Wolff said President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package does not go far enough.

The remarks form Wolff, a professor emeritus at University of Massachusetts Amherst and a visiting professor at The New School, come as the left say Biden should go big in combatting the pandemic and its economic fallout.

“I think what we have here is a denial. This is the worst crisis in American capitalism in at least a century. It’s a combination of a crash, one of the worst we’ve had of our economy, and at the same time a public health catastrophe,” Wolff said on Hill.TV’s “Rising.” “Each of them is making the other one worse, and together they are something we’ve never had.”
