Podcast host Katie Halper: Psaki confirms self-diagnosis of ‘West Wing Brain’

Katie Halper, co-host of the “Useful Idiots” podcast, said that White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed her theory that Psaki had “West Wing Brain” after she said that she was inspired to return to politics after binge-watching “The West Wing.”

“The combination of being inspired by ‘West Wing’ and a Rob Low character is just almost too much to bear,” Halper said on the Hill.TV’s “Rising” during a discussion about Psaki’s possible future as a cable news host. “That should’ve gotten her fired, but of course, it actually very qualifying for the type of work that she does.”

Halper, who also hosts “The Katie Halper Show” podcast, added that she and her guests have said Psaki has “West Wing Brain” on her show.

“And now we know, she’s disclosed her self-diagnosis, its confirmed,” she said.

When “Rising” co-host Kim Iversen asked what exactly “West Wing Brain” was, co-host Ryan Grim said that it was like “neoliberal fanfiction.” Halper agreed, quipping that it’s like “when you have an orgasm over bipartisanship.”

“I don’t understand, her job is so easy,” Halper said.” All she has to do, apparently for her fans, is sounds really entitled and offended, and it’s an ‘own’ and a ‘slay queen, yes queen’ Psaki bomb.”

“Even though, for me, it just seems really unprofessional, petulant and out of touch and entitled,” she continued
