Democratic pollster Celinda Lake said Monday that news in the Trump era has moved so fast that people have experienced difficulty forming opinions on issues in the media.
“I think part of the negativity is that things are moving so fast. It’s such chaos,” Lake told Hill.TV’s Joe Concha on “What America’s Thinking.”
Americans have signaled in recent months that they are fatigued by the news cycle.
Roughly 7 in 10 Americans said they “feel worn out by the amount of news there is these days,” according to a June Pew Research poll.
The report also found that those who said they were worn out by the news cycle also said they think the media isn’t doing a good job of informing its viewers properly.
