President Biden’s support on handling the coronavirus pandemic has slipped 5 percentage points since he entered the White House, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.
Sixty-four percent of registered voters in the Feb. 12-15 survey approve of Biden’s handling of the pandemic, down from 69 percent in a survey conducted Jan. 21-24.
Despite the dip, Biden’s approval on handling the virus is still higher than former President Trump’s at any point in his term according to Hill-HarrisX data.
Fifty-nine percent of voters approve of Biden’s overall job as president, down 1 percentage point from last week’s survey.
The poll comes as upwards of 57 million coronavirus vaccines have been administered, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The most recent Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 2,835 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 1.83 percentage points.
