Almost half of voters said they’d support former President Trump running for president again in 2024, a new Hill-HarrisX poll found.
Forty-seven percent of registered voters in the Oct. 13-14 survey said they support the idea of Trump jumping into the next presidential contest while 53 percent of respondents oppose him doing so.
Seventy-seven percent of Republican respondents approve of Trump jumping into the 2024 race while 23 percent oppose.
Meanwhile, 77 percent of Democrats and 58 percent of independents oppose the idea.
A Nov. 17-19 2020 Hill-HarrisX poll also found 47 percent of all voters in the survey said they’d support Trump running again in 2024, including 75 percent of Republicans, 24 percent of Democrats, and 47 percent independents.
A majority of voters, or 59 percent, said it is “likely” that Trump will run for the White House again in 2024 in a Dec. 10-14 2020 Hill-HarrisX survey.
The most recent Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 895 registered voters between Oct. 13 and 14. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
