The Hill’s 12:30 Report: Breaking: Hamilton stays on $10; Tubman on $20 | GOP considers more debates | Cruz ‘mathematically eliminated’ from first ballot win? | Ice cream “BRRR-itos” at Ben and Jerry’s today | Inside Trump camp ‘civil war’
BREAKING – HAMILTON TO STAY ON $10, HARRIET TUBMAN ON THE $20: Treasury Secretary Jack Lew will announce a decision to keep Alexander Hamilton on the front of the $10 bill and put a woman on the back of the bill, Politico is reporting. Former President Andrew Jackson will be replaced on the $20 bill with Harriet Tubman. Civil rights era leaders will also be added to the $5. http://bit.ly/1VC9eS5

MORE BREAKING NEWS – RNC CONSIDERS MORE DEBATES: Via BuzzFeed’s Christopher Massie, the RNC Chair Reince Priebus said that at the group’s meeting this week in Florida, they will discuss the possibility of having more primary debates. The last Republican primary debate was on March 10 and there are currently not plans for any additional debates. All the ratings! http://bzfd.it/1NlpnIr
{mosads}DEVELOPING THIS MORNING — CRIMINAL CHARGES IN FLINT WATER CRISIS: Felony and misdemeanor charges were issued against two state Department of Environmental Quality employees and one city water treatment plant supervisor in connection to the Flint, Mich., water crisis. http://bit.ly/1VC0kE5
NEW YORK PRIMARY RESULTS: It was a great night for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, who cleaned up in the New York primary. John Kasich finished second, taking just three delegates, but the real losers of last night are Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders, who both needed strong wins. http://bit.ly/1VBKsBz
Republicans:
Donald Trump: 60.5 percent
John Kasich: 25.1 percent
Ted Cruz: 14.5 percent
Democrats:
Hillary Clinton: 57.9 percent
Bernie Sanders: 42.1 percent
DELEGATES AWARDED IN NEW YORK:
Donald Trump: 89 awarded
John Kasich: 3
Ted Cruz: 0
Hillary Clinton: 139
Bernie Sanders: 106
TOTAL DELEGATE COUNT:
Donald Trump: 844
Ted Cruz: 543
John Kasich: 147
1,237 needed for the nomination
Hillary Clinton: 1,948 including superdelegates
Bernie Sanders: 1,238 including superdelegates
2,383 needed for the nomination
WHAT THESE RESULTS MEAN:
CRUZ’S PATH SIGNIFICANTLY NARROWS: Via The Associate Press, Ted Cruz can no longer reach the delegate threshold to claim the nomination without a contested convention. http://bit.ly/1NlhxhZ
CLINTON’S CLOSE TO WRAPPING THIS UP: Via The Hills’s Jonathan Easley, Hillary Clinton’s win in New York almost certainly ensures she will beat Bernie Sanders. She is about 80 percent of the way there in delegates, while Sanders is about half of the way there. http://bit.ly/1YGKnKe
JUST IMAGINE THE CLINTON/TRUMP BLOODBATH: Via FiveThirtyEight’s Carl Bialik, if the general election race ends up being Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton, the likelihood of which increased last night, Clinton has the advantage. Clinton is consistently leading Trump in matchups, including all 44 polls compiled by HuffPost Pollster since February. Note: John Kasich does very well in polls against Clinton. http://53eig.ht/1U6DtPk
TRUMP’S MAGIC NUMBER IS LESS THAN 1,237: Via Politico’s Eli Stokols, some Republican Party officials are whispering about a lower threshold than 1,237 for Donald Trump to clinch the nomination. How: There are roughly 200 unbound delegates and by their calculation, if Trump gets within 50–100 delegates away from 1,237, he’ll be fine. http://politi.co/1WFkBrr
A 26-SECOND C-SPAN BREAK THAT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH: When New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R) called for a yea or nay vote to an amendment on the energy bill, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) jokingly responded with a surprisingly accurate horse “neigh.” Ayotte broke down laughing. It’s hilarious. http://bit.ly/1TiV8Rv
OBAMA SAYS NOT-UHHHHH, SENATE GOP: Via The Hill’s Timothy Cama, the Obama administration is warning Senate Republicans their attempts to block a contentious water pollution rule puts the whole (bipartisan!) bill at risk. How: A senior administration official told The Hill Wednesday that if the GOP attaches an amendment to the spending bill for energy and water programs to defund the Clean Water Rule, Obama would veto the legislation. I.e. — pick your battles. http://bit.ly/1VC1csj
BEHIND THE SCENES IN TRUMP CAMPAIGN — OH IF I COULD BE A FLY ON THAT WALL: In New York Magazine, Gabriel Sherman has a fascinating play-by-play of how Donald Trump’s new convention manager Paul Manafort is taking over the campaign and causing a “civil war” with campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and his loyalists. “In recent days, there have been ‘blowups’ on emails over budget matters between Lewandowski loyalists and [Manafort’s team]. Yesterday, Trump’s national field director, Stuart Jolly, a Lewandowski backer, quit after being told he would report to [Rick] Wiley.” http://nym.ag/1pgFvPQ
TENSE TALKS — OBAMA MET WITH SAUDI KING: Via The Hill’s Jordan Fabian, earlier today, President Obama met with Saudi King Salman, kicking off two days of tense talks with the United States’s Gulf allies. Why it’s tense: Obama faces a tough task of assuaging Arab allies’ concerns over instability in the Middle East, the fight against ISIS and Iran’s influence in the region. Here’s the play-by-play: http://bit.ly/1QmLmtb
POP CULTURE — NEWS TO KNOW WHEN TALKING TO COWORKERS: Revealed this morning on the “Today” show, Jennifer Aniston has been named People’s “World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2016.” http://on.today.com/1Nl9C4c
