Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is open to joining the magical world of the “Harry Potter” book series.
Warren on Wednesday asked author J.K. Rowling if she could become a professor of wizardry in the fictional universe.
{mosads}Warren’s tweet, which included a link to a Boston Globe article describing Rowling’s newest story, also mentions presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Warren has been attacking the businessman for months, most recently calling him a “small, insecure money-grubber” at an appearance with presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton this week.
Rowling’s new tale recounts the history of a school for magic in Massachusetts. Rowling’s website states The Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is located atop Mount Greylock, which abuts the Berkshires in the Bay State.
Warren’s use of the phrase “death eaters,” meanwhile, is both a nod to the “Potter” stories and her latest attack on Donald Trump.
“Death eaters” are the evil wizards and witches led by Lord Voldemort, the antagonist of Rowling’s fantasy series.
Rowling said late last year Voldemort is “nowhere near as a bad” as Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, after the billionaire proposed a blanket ban on Muslims entering the U.S.
Warren has repeatedly hammered Trump in recent weeks, fueling speculation she may become Clinton’s running mate, and Clinton welcomed Warren to the campaign trail during a joint appearance in Cincinnati on Monday.
Trump responded to Warren’s attacks that same day by labeling her “racist” for claiming she has Native American ancestry.
Clinton leads Trump by about 6 points nationwide.
